TRIBUNAL VERDICTS: LET'S GIVE EACH OTHER A CHANCE; HON. PHILIP AGBESE

I receive the twin judgments of the National Assembly Elections Petition Tribunal affirming my victory with a renewed spirit of patriotism, service, and responsibility to the good and loving people of the Ado/ Okpokwu/ Ogbadibo Federal Constituency.

I must acknowledge the diligence, undaunted thoroughness, and professionalism of the justices whose verdicts have not only consolidated and strengthened our democracy but also tested the integrity of the nation's electoral process.

Hon. Philip Agbese

I understand the disappointment of the opposition. If anything, I believe the entire exercise has shown the depth and breadth of talent, resilience, and never-give-up spirit of the Enone people.

However, this is the time to unite and build for the future; a time to put away the harsh rhetoric, lower the temperature and see each other again. We must listen to one another, make progress, and end the unnecessary animosity.

As Abraham Lincoln said in his inaugural address to Americans: "We are not enemies, but friends... Though passion may have strained, it must not break our bonds of affection."

Abraham Lincoln

The challenges that face our constituency will demand the best of us all. We must come together for the sake of our families and neighbors and our community and its future. All problems will yield to the gathered will of a free people.

The Bible tells us that to everything there is a season – a time to build, a time to reap, a time to sow. And a time to heal. This is the time to heal our land.

Hon. Philip Agbese

To my constituents who have shown me nothing short of love, I sought this office for you. We want to revive our land and build a prosperous future for our people. Although the journey hasn't been smooth, we are on track. I am focused on my goals and with your usual support, Enone shall be great again.

I, therefore, dedicate this feat to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, and his Deputy, Rt Hon. Benjamin Kalu as well as Pastor Jerry Eze and the entire NSPPD family. I must also commend my family, teeming supporters, party members, and constituents for all the support.

May I finally acknowledge the extraordinary sacrifices of our indefatigable legal team led by Chief Adetunji Oso as well as my party's legal team led by the Attorney General of Benue State, Barrister Fidelis Mnyim. Barrister Ali was another fantastic member of the team who devoted his entire being to the success of this case. Your efforts will not be in vain.
