°Mark 5:25-26: "And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better, she grew worse."

°Mark 5:27-29: "When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak because she thought, 'If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.' Immediately her bleeding stopped, and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering."

°Mark 5:34: "He said to her, 'Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.'"


1. Faith can overcome societal barriers and prejudices.

°Leviticus 15:19-20: "When a woman has her regular flow of blood, the impurity of her monthly period will last seven days, and anyone who touches her will be unclean till evening."

°Mark 5:31-32: "You see the people crowding against you,' his disciples answered, 'and yet you can ask, 'Who touched me?' But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it."

°Mark 5:33-34: "Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. He said to her, 'Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.'"

2. Jesus is compassionate and attentive to individual needs.


°Luke 8:47-48: "Then the woman, seeing that she could not go unnoticed, came trembling and fell at his feet. In the presence of all the people, she told why she had touched him and how she had been instantly healed. Then he said to her, 'Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.'"

3. True healing involves a holistic approach, addressing both physical and spiritual needs.

°Matthew 4:23: "Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people."

°Mark 5:34: "He said to her, 'Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.'"

4. Faith is personal and requires a personal encounter with Jesus.
