GENERAL JADEL MAKES US PROUD TO BE NIGERIAN

Arumona George, a k.a General Jadel is a Nigerian singer based abroad (Mauritius). Jadel is a prolific music writer, producer, recording Artist and all round sound engineer. Born and breed in Benue State. He sings both in native and English dialects but his fans over the years have enjoyed his diversity in both New age Rap and Afro tunes, General jadel is not your everyday ordinary musician but a musician who infuses Afro pop with other sounds and makes it sound addictive to the ears. General Jadel works with personalized sound from his street wise music studio where he produces a complete and interesting fusion of Afro sound 100%.
The fast raising star is considered by his fans and many as a figure in the modern day music scene, In an interview (One on one) with Maritius broadcasting corporation (MBC), the national public broadcaster of the Republic of Mauritius, according to Jadel, "He began recording music at early age while staying with his grandfather who was a musician, that's where he developed the interest of becoming an artist.
General Jadel rose to the limelight after releasing his first official album in 2021 titled "ABOVE AND BEYOND". He grew up listening to rap songs. Jadel collaborated with several record producers in Nigeria, before he founded the record label "GENERAL JADEL RECORDS" to pursue music full-time and relocated to Mauritius where he worked on his vocals.
Being Nigerian is, indeed, a bittersweet experience. On the one hand, we are undoubtedly some of the most inventive, humorous and distinctive people on Earth. General Jadel is changing the credibility and narrative of being a Nigerian abroad, with fact music industry has made Nigerians proud.
Fortunately, the popular pidgin phrase, “naija no dey carry last” still rings true in certain cases and that unrelenting spirit we all seem to naturally possess has produced several notable stars (particularly in the music industry). Jadel who have gone on to make us tingle with pride as Nigerian's. It’s obvious the young star is out to take over the world, and there’s nothing left to do but stand back, smile and watch him do it.
Nigeria musician home and abroad are doing us proud, we are globally recognised. We all know that as an African building your career abroad ain't cool for Africans, but now because of the way Afro beats has taken over the world we are proud to be Nigerians. This is a great achievement, we have to keep the hard work going.
