PROPHET SHOLA GOODWILL MESSAGE TO MUSLIMS FAITHFULS ACROSS THE GLOBE

 This festive period has its own essence and substance to why the celebration is carried out. It's on this note that I on behalf of the solution family worldwide teeming fellowship, heartily rejoice and felicitate with the entire Muslim ummah worldwide, on the occasion of their Eid-El -Kabir celebration!

I felicitate with you all. I want to use this opportunity to thank all Nigerians who supported us in actualising our humanitarian activities last year (2022) to flood affected victims across some states.

Indeed your fervent and sincere support, which cut across religion, political and ethnic divides, has energised me and my team to served humanity with core values.

The annual festival of Eid-el-Kabir, is being marked today across the world with the killing of rams and sharing the meat among families, friends and the less privileged. It is a unique festival that derives its origin fromvboth Islam and Christianity based on scriptural accounts of how Prophet Abraham in obedience to God, offered his son as sacrifice before divine intervention. The essence is sacrifice, obedience and love.

However, there should be more to sharing than some portions of ram meat. Given the level of present economical challenges in the country, perhaps this period offers better opportunity to share and to make sacrifice. I want all Nigerians to look beyond themselves and their immediate environment.

That explains why the occasion should go beyond the slaughtering of rams to sharing love and material possessions not only with relatives or acquaintances, but also with the less privileged one's, weak elders, the orphans, and other people at the margin of the society.

We must learn to see ourselves as brothers and sisters from the same heritage, keep our prejudices aside and strengthen the bonds of friendship and unity to keep our country together. I sincerely believe that our nation can make rapid progress on all fronts if we re-enact the exemplary virtues, typified by Prophet Abraham, through his sacrifice, patience, steadfastness, generosity and obedience to God's command.

If we understand the fact that we are all creations of God, the propensity for hate based on some artificial differences would reduce and we would relate more with one another with love and mutual respect. Tolerance across these artificial divides that our politicians have erected will foster harmony and promote peace and development. It will also help the process of healing the deep wounds sparked off by politics and the manipulation of religion and ethnicity that has for decades held down our country.

What confronts us today may not be particularly peculiar. But it will require all citizens working together if we are to resolve many of the ills that plague our nation. Thus, as Muslim celebrate this special festival, we must reflect on and imbibe the essence of sacrifice and humility for the promotion of harmonious relationship in our dear country Nigeria 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬
