On the 21st December, 2023, the incoming Chairman, Doma L.G.A of Nasarawa State, Hon. Josiah Ozotu Osuse was honored by the classic Ladies in Makurdi the capital city of Benue as the Chairman of the great occasion of their annual launching of wrapper. Hon. Josiah Ozotu who is aspiring for the position of Chairman Doma L.G.A of Nasarawa State. As the chairman of the day, the eloquent and vibrant incoming Chairman of Doma L.G.A, Hon. Josiah during his speech, he highlighted to the audience the role of women in our society.
In his speech; And i qoute, "Women are caregivers: this is because women continue to play a crucial role in caregiving, both in their families and as professional caregivers. They take care of children, parents, and other family members, ensuring their well-being and nurturing their development and growth. This is a well known fact, a well brought up individuals are always contributing positively towards national development".
Hon. Josiah Ozotu further acknowledged the uniqueness of women in actively participating in various professional fields, including science, technology, engineering, medicine, law, finance, education, arts, and more. The strategic political thinker and planner, Hon. Josiah admired how women are expanding their presence and making remarkable achievements across these domains. He stressed that, it is in my conviction that women are educators at every level, from preschool to university. Therefore, they contribute to shaping the future generation by imparting knowledge, skills, and values to children at home and #students, preparing them for a harmonious and productive society.
In his speech; Hon. Josiah Osuse using Wadata Market Makurdi as case study. He praised women as they are increasingly venturing into entrepreneurship and starting their businesses. They bring innovation, creativity, and unique perspectives to the business world, driving economic growth and job creation in the state.
